    Our Staff

    Head Coach Carlos Garcia

    Coach Carlos Garcia is a former Police Officer and United States  Marine with a prestigious background in wrestling.  He is a former 2x North Carolina state champion with many national rankings ending his high school career with a record of 132-18.  He attended Division 1 Appalachian State University on a full-ride scholarship and has been a part of the 19th-ranked team in the country, Fayetteville Seventy-First,  that won many state titles in North Carolina and still holds many team records.  Coached by the legendary Wrestling Hall of Famer Coach David Culbreth and John Deweese.

    Assistant Coach/Director Paul Garcia

    Paul is from Kirby Texas. He is a former Army Medic and has experience providing medical care for some of the most elite warfighters in the world. He is a subject matter expert in human performance improvement and in education and training. This is Paul's third season with the team and his second season coaching under the supervision of Coach Carlos.

    Assistant Coach Danny Perez

     Daniel Perez started wrestling at 9 years old growing up in Southern California. In high-school, he earned over 120 wins and multiple scholastic titles. After graduating, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army as a 11 Bravo, infantryman.  After serving 9 years in the Army, Daniel continued to serve our Nation and became a Federal Law Enforcement Agent, where he continues to carry out those duties daily.

    Assistant Coach Roy Winder

    Roy is Sergeant in the US Army who started wrestling at age 4,  spent 15 years competing, the 1st-5th grade was spent wrestling out of Colorado Springs, CO with most weekends spent on the road at tournaments, and eventually ended up in Wyoming placing 6th his freshman year at 103lbs. He  Wrestled his Senior year for Spring Creek High School out of Spring Creek, NV.  placing 3rd at Regionals for the 130 lb class.  and  4th at State for the 130 lb class. Graduated HS in 2011 and went to the University of the Cumberlands on a scholarship and filled in at 141lbs.  Post-wrestling, he came home after the first year and went to work for 18 months, enlisted in 2014, shipped out to Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2015. he was eventually  Shipped out to Poland, and returned, that same spring, to Germany and  I served as the 3BCT Medical Maintenance NCOIC and was NCO of the Year.

    Assistant Coach Micah Felton

      Former US Army, started wrestling in the 7th grade. 3x High School state qualifier at 170lbs and state runner up out of Junction City Kansas. After graduating high school in 2014 I attended Pratt Community College wrestling at 184lbs where I became a 2x Kansas Cup placer, 2x NJCAA Regional placer and 2x NJCAA National qualifier placing 7th at nationals earning All American honors. After graduating from Pratt, I transferred to Fort Hays State University a D2 school in Hays, Kansas where I wrestled at 184lbs and 197lbs. In 2018 I was runner up in the NCAA Division 2 Super regional tournament and a placer at the MIAA conference tournament as well. Post wrestling career, I worked for a few years also hosting many wrestling camps of all ages in the community.
